MUAR SOUP HOUSE

The famous of Muar Soup House, lamb and beef soup |
we trying the lamb soup and the taste is very nice... |
Another side dish, "Rojak"
Muar Soup House Sdn Bhd
was a concept that began in Johor way back since 1958, by the vision of Mr.
Shaik Alaudin bin Gulam Kadar and Mrs. Aisha Nachia binti Abdul Majeed. The
family based business is currently handled by Mr Amiruddin bin Shaik Alaudin
who is the second generation of the family. Muar Soup House provides the
goodness of home-style cooked meal, friendly service and comfortable
atmosphere.
Let’s first talk about the soup, the soup is very aromatic. Not only that, it
is concentrated too, unlike others which is pretty diluted, but this is just
nice, the taste has pepper and pretty creamy like. It has tons of filling you
want to put in, the one we would like to recommend is the lamb and “gearbox”.
The gearbox is named due to the bone put into the soup is like the car’s
gearbox, they put the straws into the gearbox bone to help you scoop whatever
is inside the bone. The meat in the soup has absorbed the taste of the soup, it
is very juicy and tasty. There are a lot more choices for the meat, whether
from chicken, beef, lamb, or even the insides, you can even mix it and put into
the soup then the other choices they have are western food. Their chicken chop is also
one of their signatures here. It’s because not only the meat is big and juicy,
most importantly is the sauce that pours on top of it, come try it for yourself
to test this indescribable taste.
They still have a lot more varieties of chocie like, m

R&H CAFE MAHARANI SATAY Definitely looked inviting us when we arrived for the breakfast in the morning for the second day we in Muar. It was after all the place that was recommended to come for a true authentic taste of Johor breakfast and yes.... an authentic taste of Johor breakfast include, Satay for breakfast. It is a new experience for us, eat Satay for the breakfast. The R&H CAFE become on of the proud cafe that was graced by Sultan of Johor, a fact that has been photographed, framed and places the wall of the cafe. Our breakfast.. so yummy....
Customer can eat as many or as little they like because they only charge for how many you are eat. Each of stick of the satay just only RM 0.60. The beef of satay was firm and chewy but not hard, it helped by pieces of juicy fat skewered together with the meat. The bit of the spices and herbs clinging to the beef added interesting fragrant bursts when encountered and ground between teeth. They also had beef stomach satay. They tripe satay was a little bland and chewy, but easily rescued by the savory peanut sauce. We like tripe because i enjoy it bouncy bite of the satay.
Besides, they also provide other side dish menu such as "Nasi Lemak", Bread Titap", "Mee Bandung", and various traditional cakes and more.

SIN JUAN HENG COFFEE SHOP
Beef Satay
The meat is so tender, the marinate is so savoury and the sauce is so sweet. Just a nice combination to get you moving throughout the day. There are a few satay stalls in Muar town and they start selling early in the morning. However, the one that I tried is at Sin Juan Heng, where a Malay satay seller sells his satay in a Chinese coffee shop compound.

Coffee-shops that are
operated in Chinese-Malay partnerships. Even though the stall is closed for the
day, it’s clear that this is yet another Chinese coffee-shop working in
partnership with a Malay satay vendor. The satay is sold out by afternoon at
this stall in Sin Juan Heng coffee shop at Jalan Maharani in Muar.

In front of the shop.. IKAN BAKAR SABAK AWOR |
Medan Ikan Bakar Sabak Awor in Muar consist of many
small shops inside that you need to choose which is the best restaurant that
serves the best and fresh seafood with the cheapest price of all the other
shops. The best one (after consulted by the Johorians) is Wak Jos'.
Hence, we paid this place some visit (plus, we were
craving for some ikan bakar!) The parking space here is quite big, free of
charge, but it's kinda dark during the night because there's not lamp post.
For me, great and fresh foods, I'm happily stuffed,
the wait for the food is normal, understandable since it is soo many people in
Wak Jos', free parking, great ambiance. What else could I say? Hello, do check
this place out if you're nearby! XOXO

"Siakap bakar berempah" KARI KAMBING 40 HARI
Calling out for lamb lover out there, hunt down to
Restoran kari kambing 40, definitely a must-go place to eat if you’re in town.
The taste and fragrant of curry would get you the feeling of stumbled upon a
hidden treasure.
The “Kari Kambing 40 Hari” restaurant located
parallel to the North-South Expressway is attracting diners in droves. It is especially popular with motorists taking the
old Yong Peng-Ayer Hitam road.
The restaurant’s location is an added advantage as
motorists driving by cannot miss the huge signboard. “Most of the prophets would face trials and
tribulations for a period of 40 days,” he said in explaining the name of the
eatery, loosely translated as 40-day old mutton curry. It serves Middle Eastern rice dishes and even
attracts customers from other states as well as Singapore. There’s also a chicken curry and other side dishes
option that you can choose from to eat with mandy rice. The allure of their
curry would just make you go gaga and trust us, you’ll find it difficult to
limit yourself to eat just one round of plate.

SAI KEE COFFEE 434 MUAR
Sai Kee Coffee was founded in 1953 in a doubled-
story wooden house just behind the Muar river in Jalan Ismail, Muar. Its
founder, Mr. Kiar Am Sai has made his coffee a popular drink among the locals,
with his signatured product “Kopi Cap 434” remains a favorite brew among coffee
lovers, both local and abroad.
After half a century, Sai Kee Coffee has grown from
strength to strength developing into a modern coffee roaster. Researching the
best business practice and applying the most advanced Brambati technology from
Italy in coffee roasting, Sai Kee is capable of producing 10 tons of roasted
coffee beans per day.
Sai Kee guarantees consistency, color and aroma, and
overall flavor batch by batch no matter it is a light roast Indonesia
Manhdeling or a medium roast Brazil Santos or a dark roast Columbia Excelso. Today, after 50 years in the coffee trade, Sai Kee
has perfected the art of coffee roasting to accommodate customers’ expectations
and satisfy multiple demands. Ah Sai, a self made entrepreneur has always wanted
to do business with the local multi-racial community. Bearing this in mind, he
wanted the Malay, Chinese, Indian and Sikhs customers to recognise and remember
his brand of coffee, and he has chosen his three digit telephone during the
1960s “434” as his brand name.
Since then, the number 434 has been a lucky number
for Ah Sai. It brings in a lot of good business and good luck to the Kiar
family. Today, when coffee lovers mention about the magic number 434, It is Sai Kee Coffee from Muar.
